Reasons behind why everyone are ready for networking party but you don’t
Many people wants to attend networking party for the sake of boardening their circle. But, some of them fail and leaving home without any new contacts on the phone for future collaboration and feeling regret afterwards. In long term, it will make people againts networking party.
Probably, there are something wrong with you on how to attend networking party :
1. You are too shy to introduce yourself and still sitting next to your friends. You won’t get the key to open the door for many new oppurtunities if you still running at the same circle. Say hello to someone new next to you won’t hurt.
2. You don’t know what to do at networking party. It also has the same meaning you didn’t set targets about what you want to present to others. Believe me, it will end up with only swapping contacts with no further calls.
“Be futuristic”
Okay here are the tips. Try to identified everything you have. What skills do you have and how your skills can be relevant with the event, what’s your company goals and then try to reach the speakers or someone else, what’s your need and desires that haven’t been achieved.
After you identified, then you will have spark ideas on how you can be relevant to this event and feeling home with no regrets.
3. You don’t know what exactly the event is. It mean you just came because the event is so cool and think you should attend just to make you look cool too. That’s where the problem has started. Let’s try to search the event deeper such as be curious about the goals of this event, the main theme, the speakers, and predict who are audiences will come.
